Purchase, NY, November 3, 2025 – Three teachers recently attended the Council for Economic Education (CEE)’s 64th Annual Financial Literacy & Economic Education Conference (the nation’s premier K-12 educator Conference for teachers who want to integrate personal finance and economics into their classrooms), thanks to the donation of Quorum Federal Credit Union. This year’s event took place in New Orleans, LA on October 17-18, 2025, where teachers learned and passed on valuable financial knowledge to their students, with over 45 sessions including hands-on workshops, lectures, and round-table conversations.

“At Quorum, we’re committed to leveraging technology to make smarter banking accessible for everyone,” said Jeff Pachter, President and CEO of Quorum Federal Credit Union. “Supporting educators at CEE’s 64th Annual Financial Literacy & Economic Education Conference aligns perfectly with our mission. By equipping teachers with advanced tools and knowledge, we help create a generation that is both financially responsible and ready to thrive in a digital-first world. This is more than a donation—it’s an investment in innovation, education, and the future of our communities.”

Some of this year’s sessions included: “How to Achieve Financial Literacy in Your Classroom,” “Digging up Dino-Economics,” “How Do I Get My Students Excited to Learn About Insurance?”, and “No Cash? No Checks? No Clue? Teaching Gen Alpha Personal Finance.”

“Thank you to all of the teachers who joined us in New Orleans for our 64th Financial Literacy and Economic Education Conference,” said CEE CEO Steve Bumbaugh. “It’s always great to see teachers from across the nation gather to share ideas on how to bring economics and personal finance into their teaching. The overwhelming feedback from attending teachers was that our Conference is an excellent opportunity to earn fall CEUs, network with like-minded teachers, and bring back high-quality resources and lesson plans to their school.”

“The conference provided valuable insights and practical strategies for engaging and empowering students to learn more about economics and personal finance—skills that are essential in today’s classrooms,” wrote scholarship winner Teresa Billingsley of Colbert Heights High School, Tuscumbia, AL, in her thank-you note to Quorum. “I left the conference feeling renewed, informed, and excited to bring new ideas and resources back to my students and colleagues.”

“Thank you so much for this incredible opportunity,” said Sherri Carney of Lakeview High School, San Angelo, TX. “I teach at a Title 1 school, and our budget is so tight that only tested subjects get these opportunities. I am excited to take everything I have well learned back into the classroom.”

Also attending the conference was Kenneth Nelson, Jr., E.P.I.C. Academy, Sallis, MS. “This is my first time attending CEE’s Conference and this experience has been outstanding for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakout sessions and would not have acquired all of the information I have today without you all. I look forward to attending again next year. Thanks again for the opportunity.”

Over 348 people attended CEE’s conference, representing 33 states and Washington D.C.
